The Art Farm team has spent many years engaging with the community on the Sunshine Coast and at festivals on the lower mainland. We have designed a variety of engagement installations, puppet shows, and other collaborative art pieces for outreach. We love attending events because it gives us a low pressure, and high energy atmosphere to share the work we do with a large number of people.

Coast Modern Design Show Piece
This 2D garment was created out of reused fabrics for the Coast Modern Design Show at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery. Leading up to the show, With a youth photographer, we used the garment as an engagement piece to talk with locals about the very personal topic of clothing. We posed the question, “Would you wear this?” and recorded a wonderful array of responses. For many, the garment grew on them and they were even willing to try it on.
We always love participating in the Vancouver Mini Maker Faire. It is incredible to see all the talented makers from the lower mainland, and to connect with all the lovely guests.
Vancouver Folk Festival is always a great weekend! We can hear the tunes from our booth in the village. For many years we have brought in interactive art, welcomed those passing by to come in and enjoy the shade with us and learn about our programming on the Sunshine Coast.
