This summer our production of the Rainforest Circus returned to the Sunshine Coast- to the shíshálh Nation’s ancestral village of klaath in Porpoise Bay. 

 

Rainforest Circus: Intelligence” brought together creatives of all ages with community members to share a theatrical journey with audiences amongst the firs and cedars of our local rainforest. This circus was a dive into the various expressions of “intelligence” in the human and natural world. The performance included interactive bio-sonification installations, clowning, original music, aerialists hanging between the trees, and the wise creator Wolf, played by our partner and dear friend xets’emits’a Candace Campo- among many other remarkable installations and performances. 

 

We see these performances as a launching pad for future engagements for schools, youth, and community events. The first iteration of this being our upcoming Circus Lab workshop on October 12 & 13th this Fall.
