It’s a walk in the woods you’ll never forget!

The Rainforest Circus – Submerged is just that: a circus that takes place in a forest! It includes aerialists in the trees, original music and soundscape, clown, dance, spoken word and artistic installations throughout– all inspired by the theme of water.

Imagine an ocean goddess with a dress the size of a parachute suspended from the trees, underwater creatures dancing among the ferns, a troupe of clowns bumbling their way through a gargle choir, live music echoing from cedar to fir to hemlock, and you’ll get what we mean …

Getting to Cliff Gilker Park

There will be no parking at Cliff Gilker Park.  Here are some transportation options:

Free Shuttle Service

There will be free shuttle service between Roberts Creek Elementary School and Cliff Gilker Park before and after each show. Please park your vehicle at the Roberts Creek Elementary School. You must book your shuttle to ensure a seat.

Local Transit

Buses run regularly on the Sunshine Coast and there is a bus stop less than a 10 minute walk away from the site. Please visit the BC Transit website for the most up-to-date schedules and information to plan accordingly.


Cycling is a great way of getting around the Coast! There will be a self-serve bike lock on-site so you can ride to the park and leave your ride safe and sound!

Park & Hike

For those who are more adventurous, you can park near the Power Lines on the B&K Logging Road, and then take a beautiful 30-minute hike to the park.  There will be volunteers on site as well as a map and signs throughout the trail to guide you.  See map below.

Getting to Bere Point Park

Parking is available along the roadways near Bere Point Park and Campground

Drive to the Site

Park your car along the roadway leading up to Bere Point Park.

Shuttle Service

There will be regular shuttle service from the Sointula Co-op Store to Bere Point Park before and after each show.  The shuttle will leave Sointula 30 minutes prior to the start time of each show.  Note – the shuttle will only accommodate a maximum of 8 people.


Biking is a great option.  It is about a 25 minute bike-ride to Bere Point Park.
